A late 19th century Berlin KPM porcelain plaque of 'Christ in the Temple' after Heinrich Hofmann, 1871, signed 'Knoeller, Dresden' to the lower right hand corner. The finely painted scene depicts the boy Jesus addressing the Elders, the faces of the richly dressed old men lit by his heavenly glow. 18.2 x 25.2cm, elaborate, Venetian style, gilt wood frame. Note: Christ in the Temple by Heinrich Hofmann hangs in the Riverside Church in New York. A similar plaque was offered at Sotheby's November 28th 2006.
German violin with bow in case, the violin is stamped L Lowendall violin 1879 Dresden, 35.25cm (main body) Condition - Good overall. It has a closed crack across the front. Seams intact. Some variation in colour of veneer due to use/rubbing. Winder on bow moves freely, no maker's mark on bow.

Mixed lot of 19th century and later tableware to include; Dresden coffee cans and saucers with gilt floral decoration Condition Report / Extra Information Two oval plates - crack to floor rim and chipped to rim, both with losses to gilt border. Four large plates - very small crack to outer edge of two plates, two others nibbled to foot rim, all worn to gilt border and light surface scratching. Five smaller plates - two star cracked to base and chipped to edge, another chipped to edge, all worn to gilt. Six cups - one cracked, others with losses to gilt but generally good. Saucers - one cracked, one badly stained, one chipped to rim, all worn to gilt.
