A Dresden 19th century porcelain inkwell stand, of large form, each separate piece with Dresden mark. Height to top of parasol 31 cm, length 35 cm, depth 25 cm. NOTE - Sold with part letter stating that "The piece belonged originally to the late Marquis of Ripen". "It is not a reproduction and neither is it a copy of any piece in any museum. It is a perfectly genuine piece of its period and no other example has been noted" (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The right-hand inkwell has a break to the rear of the top which has been re-glued. There is a scuff to the left-hand facing small finger. There is a chip to the front of the foot. The left-hand inkwell has a nibble to the top left edge and a very small chip to the front edge. There is a chip to the bottom left-hand corner of the book. The head has been glued into place at some point and there are traces of glue around the top. There are minor nibbles to the ruff. The centre green basket has three top lid edge chips and a loss to the top of the lilies. The base in good order. The parasol has been broken into several pieces and repaired. There are nibbles to two of the parasol points. The main figure group is in generally good order with only very minor nibbles in places. All fingers to the female figure are present. The male figures front right-hand is in good order. The left has a small loss to the very front top two fingers. The centre bowl has two tiny rim nibbles. The face is in generally good order with no maker issues. There are several very small chips but no problems of any significance.
A Victorian Hammersley & Co. 19 piece tea service "Dresden Sprays", 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 plates and basin, Registered No. 150153 in green script. CONDITION REPORT: One cup has a tiny nibble to the outer edge of the top lip just through the gilding. A second cup has been badly broken and glued. One plate has a glaze imperfection to the foot rim. Other than the damaged cup, the lot is really in extremely good order. The decoration is good. The gilding is in good order throughout and there are no significant scratches to the porcelain.
A 19th century Worcester style cabinet plate, with blue ground, floral sprays and gilding, and two Dresden porcelain cabinet plates, largest diameter 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The two Dresden plates are in extremely good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some very minor rubbing to the gilding. The Worcester style plate is in good order also with no condition issues other than minor rubbing to the rim gilding.

A group of late 19th/early 20th century ceramics to include two Hammersley & Co cup, saucer and plate trios, a Royal Worcester hand painted cup in the Oriental style, black marks to base and registration no.608482, in the style of Helena Wolfson; a twin-handled chocolate cup and saucer hand painted with birds, insects and foliage, a Dresden chocolate cup with hand painted floral decoration, blue marks to the base, etc.
2nd-3rd century AD. A flat-section silver ring with fluted shoulders, large raised bezel with carnelian intaglio with an engraved scene of a rodent in a simple chariot pulled by two cockerels, holding the reins and a whip; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. See Staatliche Kunstsammlung Dresden, for a similar jasper intaglio. 12.05 grams, 22.42mm overall, 18.03x13.24mm internal diameter (approximate size British I, USA 4 1/4, Europe 7.44, Japan 7) (3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 2000s. Fine condition.
