Adrian Ludwig Zingg (Swiss, 1734-1816), Schloss Pillnitz on the river Elbe, Dresden sepia pen and ink on wove paper, signed 'Zingg del.' lower left above foliage, laid down onto paper or thin card with a lined ink border (possibly a folio page) 12½ x 17½in. (31.75 x 44.5cm.) * Condition: Drawing has been laid down onto backing paper with ink lined border drawn around edge. Paper evenly time stained. A few sporadic fox marks and some grey line marks and smudges across sky and left margin. Would benefit from cleaning by a specialist restorer. No tears, creases, holes or other damage. In a modern painted faux wood frame with gilt border and lined mount.
A mid-19th century Coalbrookdale style vase, rococo style, finely modelled handles and typical flower-encrusted decoration, painted in coloured enamels and gilt, together with a early 19th century English, covered pot pourri, with flower-encrusted decoration, possibly Coalport and a small 2nd half 19th century Minton in Dresden style pot pourri basket, the vase 11in. (28cm.) high. (3) * Condition: Vase: Base has been off and restored - overpainting around the joint. Some minor losses to bocage. Some glaze cracks to inside and outside of neck. Covered pot pourri: One handle broken off and glued. Some minor losses to bocage. Minton basket: Good condition with no damage.
A pair of early 20thC Dresden porcelain cherub groups, each playing musical instruments on gilt lined scroll bases, 15cm high, a Sitzendorf style Continental porcelain double candle group, cherub ornament and a further open bowl with scroll and cherub handle raised with bocage flowers, etc. (5, AF)
Dresden.Three pieces of Dresden with pierced gilt panels and applied floral decoration, viz: A covered cylindrical pot, the sides and cover pierced and with applied flowers and foliage,ht. 11.5cm., an open oval two handled dish with hand painted central floral display, similarly decorated, 10.5x20cm.,, and a small two handled circular dish with hand painted floral display, the sides with applied flowers, pierced and gilt. 9.5cm. diameter. Apart from a slight chip to one petal of the cylindrical piece we can see no defects.
Dresden. A two-handled covered urn with floral garlands and gilding, ht. 16cm., a shaped oval covered bowl, the impressed wicker surface with floral vignettes, the lid with applied flowers and leafage, 9 x 9.5cm., and an open bowl on four splayed paw feet, one chipped, a hand-painted floral display in the centre with pale green sloping sides rising to a pierced rim, gilded, 16cm. diameter, all three with the blue Dresden underglaze mark. Apart from the chipped foot we can see no defects. (3).
