Another similar example is recorded dated 1614 and these form part of a group of similar sculptures produced for various clients including Cardinal Fernando de Medici, other examples are in the Grünes Gewölbe in Dresden, the Duke of Riva's Collection in Madrid, and in a private collection in Paris. An early twentieth century violin, labelled within 'Manufactured in Dresden, imitation of Joseph Guarnerius', the back of the neck also inscribed 'Conservatory Violin Guarnerius', back length 35.5 cm / 14", together with two bows, lengths 74.6 cm and 70.8 cm respectively, contained with a crocodile skin effect case.
Luftwaffe Paratroopers Cloth Breast Badge, being a uniform removed example; General Assault combat badge with pin and catch fixing having makers mark to the reverse “W” for Karl Wurster, lacquer varnish has been coated over the badge; Silver grade wound badge with pin and catch fixing which has lost much of the silver wash finish and a Luftwaffe Ground combat badge missing the eagle and swastika and repaired pin but no catch to the reverse, made by G H Osang, Dresden. Food & Drink.- Devéria (Achille) Odes d'Anacréon, Complèment de l'Anacréon de Girodel, 2 parts in 1 (second bound before first), lithographed titles printed in red, no text, 20 fine hand-coloured lithographed plates by Lemercier after Devéria, many of drinking scenes, paper guards, title to second part foxed, light marginal soiling and occasional water-staining (mainly to final 4 plates), original decorative boards printed in gold, rubbed, edges worn and a little chipped, rebacked, folio, Paris, H.Gache, [1825]. ⁂ Very rare. COPAC lists only one copy, in the Brotherton Library, Leeds; WorldCat lists that and a further 3 copies (Bibliothèque Nationale, Dresden, & Huntington libraries). Achille Jacques-Jean-Marie Devéria (1800-57) was a French painter and lithographer known for his portraits of famous writers and artists, and for his lithographs illustrating erotic works, many of which are very scarce.
