Lot 184

A French Art Deco marble and enamel mantel clock - 1930s-40s, the single train 'Just' 13 jewel movement with platform escapement, no. 2187, fronted by a rectangular gilt dial with black Roman numerals and central enamel plaque with stylised floral decoration, the stepped marble case with similar enamel plaque to the platform base, on platform feet, with key and service note dated Dec. 2013, 28.75cm high, winds and runs. * Condition: In good condition overall and in running condition – the movement has been running now for over 24 hours. The case has a small chip to both front corners on the top, and a tiny chip to the lower front corners, which are difficult to spot without very close inspection – see photos attached. The dial is in good condition, with no losses to the enamel and just a few tiny flakes from the black Roman numerals. The movement door to the case back is missing the handle.
