SUE ATKINSON (b. 1949) Framed, signed, Naive Contemporary watercolour and gouache on paper, showing a jester performing on circus stage to watching audience. Atkinson is a member of the Leeds Fine Art Club as well as having exhibited widely at the R.A., N.E.A.C., R.W.S. and R.S.M.A., 50.5cm x 40cm. Provenance: Purchased directly from the artist. (ARR).
An Art Deco silver tea set, comprising of a teapot, water jug, sugar bowl and milk jug, all of octagonal form and raised on single oval foot, the water jug of waisted design, all hallmarked Birmingham 1934, with the makers mark for Adie Brothers Ltd., total weight approx. 1.4kg.
Three early 20th century brooches, including; an Art Nouveau turquoise set brooch, an amethyst brooch and a plain pin CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition. Some kinks/out of shape pieces. All fasten with pin and hook catches, and the amethyst one has a safety chain. The turquoises are scuffed. That brooch is stamped '9ct' and the amethyst one '9C'. The plain one is stamped 'ROLLED GOLD'. CR 15.12.15
An Art Deco ruby and diamond brooch, old cut diamonds and calibré cut rubies in white millegrain settings, total estimated diamond weight 0.55 carat approximately, length 3.5cm NB one diamond and one ruby deficient CONDITION REPORT: This looks as though it has been converted from a different piece of jewellery. Other than the losses mentioned above the brooch is in reasonable condition. It is worn, and a bit out of shape. It fastens with a pin and visor catch, and features a safety chain. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as platinum. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI2/I/I2. Gross weight 8.8 grams. # A Victorian four pointed star pendant set centrally with bombe turquoise decoration, with locket back, measures 3.2cm by 5.8cm, a Victorian pietra dura locket depicting floral motif, in a vine and scroll frame, with locket back, measures 3.6cm by 5.2cm and an Art Nouveau peridot pendant, measures 3cm by 4.5cm (3) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition overall. The first two are unmarked, the third stamped '9CT', in our opinion they would test as gold. Gross weight 25.2 grams. CR 16.12.15
