This is a bold and fun sculpture using ‘MemphisDesign’ as inspiration. The Memphis Group(actually based in Milan) were groundbreakingin their use of clashing colours and haphazardgeometrics and were unafraid of ideas thatdisregarded what was considered ‘good taste’.Born in the 80s and gaining popularity in the90s, the design style is very much of Elmer’stime. It was loud, proud and stood out fromthe crowd, and, for that reason, captures theessence of the Elmer character.Sponsor: Ipswich GlassAt Ipswich Glass Ltd we offer a full service forall things glass related.
