Zsolnay (Hungarian), an Art Nouveau Eosin glazed 'Landscape' vase c.1900, raised Zsolnay Pecs mark, impressed 5652, M, 20 The inverted baluster form with short neck decorated with rich colours and a lustrous Eosin glaze showing wind swept stylised trees and blood red clouds or smoke (restored) 25.5 cm high The vase has been restored around the neck and into the body and seems to particularly affect the red cloud/smoke and the blue sky and part of the beige colour between the two bands of red. I have taken some photographs with a UV light on if interested. There are some patches of wear to the side, on the neck and some old marks and scratches here and there. Some crazing to the glaze. The inside is very dirty and there are some deposits and marks. Natural wear to underside of the foot on the rim.

An Art Nouveau bronze table lamp with Loetz glass shade c.1900 The small domed frosted glass shade with orange/pink splash decoration fixed in a bronze hoop with weighted drop, supported by a half hoop and open foliate stem and base, with light fitments 26.5 cm high The shade is fixed in to the hoop with plaster so cannot be removed and appears to be in good order. The light fitment wobbles a bit. There are some old marks and wear to bronze elements and the metal has dulled with age. The lamp has lost the securing nuts for the hooped shade and the half hoop supports. Wear to base.Electrical components have not been tested, and should be examined by a qualified electrician prior to any intended use. Re-wiring may/will be needed

An Art Nouveau painted glass vase c.1900 The shaped and frosted vase shaded from green to clear, painted in white with flowers and buds on leafy stems 28.5 cm high Blown from the neck, so has a polished neck rim. A couple of tiny abrasions on the inside of the rim. A few scuffs and old marks and light natural wear. Some bubbles in the glass - how it was made. A few marks on the painting, but generally alright. Natural wear to the base.
Schneider (French), an art glass vase c.1925, acid signature Schneider on the side, etched France on the underside of the baseThe bubble suffused orange glass body with flared neck applied with black glass shapes engraved with a pattern reminiscent of a tortoise's carapace 22.5 cm high Some abrasions on the edges of the engraved pattern but this was mostly how it was made. A few marks and abrasions. Small chip to edge of foot. Natural wear to base of foot.
Gallé (French), a mould-blown triple overlay ‘Water Lily’ vase c.1925, relief signature Gallé The vase of elliptical section and mould-blown, the blue body overlaid in mauve, green and black and acid-etched in the round with waterlilies, buds and partly furled leaves and lily pads, having a short foot 25.5 cm high Literature: Victor Arwas, Glass - Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Academy Editions, London, 1977, p.85 (similar mould-blown vase illustrated in a different colourway) There is a small bruise/slither/oyster chip on one side, on one of the lilies that is partly opened - green part - opposite side of the signature. There are a few other tiny nicks and abrasions to the cameo. There are a couple of shiny patches on the blue glass and a few old marks, scuffs and an occasional scratch. Some minor polishing to the edges of neck and foot rim - possibly from the glassworks. Natural wear to base and with an old paper label in the centre. There are a few bubbles in the glass but this is how it was made.

Some tiny indentations scattered on the various edges and feet and some slight bending to top tendrils of openwork sides.Glass: light natural wear.
WMF (German), a pewter and silver plated brass double fruit or sweet dish c.1905, partial WMF marks to underside The two shaped dishes with embossed decoration united by an arched handle draped with the reclining figure of a maiden, further embellished with leaves and buds 21.5 cm high, 47 cm long Literature: 'Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork from Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik', Antique Collectors' Club, 1998, p.342, No.445 (similar model illustrated)Condition Report:Repair to the underside - strap and bar uniting and stabilising the two dishes together. Repairs to handle. There are also some soldered strap/tags uniting the foliate decoration to the shaped dishes on the underside. Rubbing to surfaces and some pitting on the leaves and buds. Rubbing to silvering on the dishes - brass showing through in places. Rubbing and natural wear in keeping with age and natural use. Wear to the underside in the appropriate places.

Surfaces with light natural wear in keeping with age and use; some tarnishing. Blemish to underside of hoop base. Of the makers marks the first letter is indistinct and may be an S.Glass: it is possible that the top trumpet maybe a replacement as the colour at the ends is not quite the same as those on the sides and is slightly smaller. The end of the central trumpet has chips to it. The three side trumpets have ground ends and are in overall good condition.

An Art Deco enamelled glass cocktail setc.1935Comprising: cocktail decanter with cover, and six glasses with flared bowls, plain stems and a circular spreading foot, each piece decorated in colours with cockerels, with red rims, 21.5 cm high and 11.5 cm high respectively; together with another cocktail glass set comprising: a decanter and stopper and five glasses, each enamelled with a cockerel, 20 cm and 10.5 cm high respectively; together with a set of 12 glass cocktail sticks, probably Italian, each terminating with a bird, in card box, sticks approximately 11.5 cm long (25)First set with red rims: Some wear to stopper shank with some chips to the ends and wear to edges and in collar of decanter, plus a few tiny nicks; wear to base. Glasses in overall good order with light wear. Enamel good.2nd Cocktail set: some aging and wear to the enamel, with some traces of gilt to edges, but mostly faded. Natural wear in keeping with age. There are a few chips to the stopper. Chip to foot of one glass.Glass cocktail sticks: no damages detected. Some dirt. Plain card box old and falling to bits.
Elkington & Co (British), an Art Deco silver and composition stemmed bowl after a design by Jean E Puiforcat Mark of Elkington & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1936, stamped 38308 The plain gently curved bowl supported on a ribbed amber coloured composition stem, on a circular spreading and stepped foot 10 cm high; 23.5 cm diameter (Weighable silver 20.5 ozs)Condition Report:Some minute indentations on the edge of the bowl; abrasions and fine wear in keeping with age and natural use to surfaces. Natural wear to base. Composition stem has a few marks but generally good, elements a little loose.
A WWI Military Medal Group of four medals awarded to 218 Sergeant O S Penn MMGS, later promoted to Captain: George V Military Medal, 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal, (MID oak leaf), with miniatures and two unrelated ribbon bars, with a commemorative medallion BFSS Nelson Centenary containing victory copper, ER VII, a silver-topped cane engraved O S Penn and a trench art buckle engraved with a tank. Mr O S Penn was part of the team that invented the tank in WWI. After the war, he became an engineer and inventor, setting up his own company Penn Inventions Ltd.

Howard Carter, After Cezanne, a Still Life sculpture, 1998, carved jelutong with limewood, on MDF base, width 60cm.Footnote: Provenance: Howard Carter was born in Romford, Essex, in1938 but settled in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire. He taught at Loughborough College of Art and Design from 1963, and exhibited as a wood sculptor in Leicester, Birmingham, and Manchester. In this piece, he attempts to turn one of Cezanne's still life artworks into a 3D sculpture.
