The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich holds Greig's work.
Tadeusz Was (1912-2005), "Mother & Child", signed, mixed media, 49 x 40.5cm.; 19.25 x 16in. * Tadeusz trained at the Polish Institute of Fine Art, Krakow for five years before being conscripted into the Polish Army. Tadeusz taught art in Crewe for many years and set up a coalition of Artists known as Group Five who exhibited throughout the Northwest. A solo exhibition - 'Lost in Crewe' was held at the Museum and Art Gallery, Warrington in 1991 and an exhibition at the Portico Gallery, Manchester was very well received in June 30th, 2005.
Russell Howarth (1927-), "Knoll Top, Saddleworth", signed, oil on board, 37 x 44.5cm.; 14.5 x 17.5in. * Russell Howarth was born in Oldham in 1927. He was educated at Oldham and worked as an Engineer from 1941-1992, but always drew and always painted. He taught Art, part-time, in Adult Education from 1962-1992. He has exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists, The Chenil Gallery, London, and had one-man Exhibitions at the Uppermill Gallery, Uppermill Museum, the Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington, the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and the Tib Lane Gallery, Manchester. He became a Member of the Saddleworth Group of Artists from 1951.

His work has been included in mixed shows at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Cartwright Hall, Bradford, Cornerhouse, Manchester, Liverpool Academy, Williamson Art Gallery, and Birkenhead. A member and regular exhibitor at the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, he is undoubtedly one of the most talented artists to come from the North-West of England in the past generation.
Bohuslav Barlow (1947-), Children by the canal, signed and dated 80, oil on board, 29 x 36.5cm.; 11.5 x 14.5in. * He began showing with South-East London Art Group and the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1970 and went on to appear in numerous group exhibitions, including Hartnoll & Eyre, 1976; MAFA from 1982; Chalk Farm Gallery, 1984 and House of Commons in a show of Calderdale Artists, 1987. Showed solo at Ginnel Gallery, Manchester and Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool, 1989. Rochdale Art Gallery and Museum and Leeds City Council hold his work.
Stephen Wild (1955-), "The Kentucky Derby", signed, titled and dated 1999 on verso, oil on board, 22.5 x 28cm.; 9 x 11in. * Stephen Wild was born in 1955 in Oldham, Lancs. His early years evidenced an innate talent for painting and drawing, though he received no formal art training. At about the age of thirty, he revived his early interest in painting and he gained a lot of experience under the tutelage of one of the North-West's best professional painters, John McCombs, a well-known and excellent tutor. The subjects favoured by Stephen are landscapes and figurative and these he treats with flat colour and precise linear brushwork He is a Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and has exhibited also at Manchester University, The Stockport Open and the Oldham Open Exhibitions. He is also a member of the Saddleworth and Lees group of artists.

He has always exhibited in the North West mainly at Salford Swinton and Eccles having several one man shows and also taking part in mixed exhibitions. His paintings are now in private collections in Australia; Israel; Germany and Holland as well as in Britain.
Dorothy Bradford (1918-2008), "Gondolier", signed and dated '95, titled on verso, oil on board, 15 x 21cm.; 6 x 8.25in. * She studied at Liverpool College of Art, Leeds College of Art, Central School of Arts and Crafts and St. Martins School of Art, her teachers including Ruskin Spear and Maurice de Sausmarez. Showed at Bluecoat Gallery in Liverpool, Woodstock Gallery, at Royal Festival Hall and American Embassy in London, as well as abroad.
Geoffrey Key (1941-), "White Farms", signed and dated '6.11.07', artist's label inscribed on verso, mixed media, 41 x 50cm.; 16.25 x 19.75in. * He was a member of the Manchester Academy, gaining first prize there in 1971. Key showed at Salford Art Gallery from 1966; Sheffield University and abroad in 1974; other exhibitions including Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston, 1983; Blackheath Gallery from 1989 and Barn Gallery, Cheshire, 1991. Public galleries in Salford, Manchester and Bolton hold his work.

Taught at Keele which holds his work, as do several provincial galleries including Stoke.
Ivan Taylor (1946-), "Tuileries, Paris", signed, artist's label inscribed on verso, oil on board, 29.5 x 39.5cm.; 11.5 x 15.5in. * Born in Staffordshire Taylor studied Fine Art and Graphics at Burslem and Stafford School of Art. His painting success began very early when pictures were used to raise money for UNICEF after being seen on television. He has been president of the Staffordshire Society of Artists for a number of years. First solo exhibition held in 1972. He has exhibited at the Quantas Gallery London; Manser Callaghan Gallery Shrewsbury and many other private galleries in England Wales and the USA. Was awarded the Rowland Hilder Award in 2006.

Leo McDowell R.I., 20th century, "Byzantium II", signed, mixed media, 22 x 22cm.; 8.75 x 8.75in. * Leo's paintings show a clear influence of Islamic and Byzantine art. His style is between abstraction and figurative representation and uses a variety of media. A number of motifs occur such as a horse and rider, a cat or a vase of flowers, and it is Leo's arrangement, treatment and colour choices which give each work its unique feel. Leo has been a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours since 1985. He was awarded the Windsor and Newton RI prize in 1990, and his work can be found in H.R.H The Prince of Wales' collection of British Contemporary Paintings. His work is in great demand throughout the world with sell-out exhibitions in Paris and Tokyo.

One man exhibitions were held at Scottish and Kingfisher Galleries in Edinburgh, at Strathclyde University and at Perth Museum and Art Gallery.

A Discophonette 78 rpm juke box, with radio receiver in upper tier, 16-disc magazine, conventional turntable and wood pick-up arm and electro-pneumatic drive to selector mechanism, in three-tier oak case of Art Deco design with red and white plastic illuminated corner panels, glazed doors to radio dial and turntable compartments and speaker in base with chrome grille, 57½in. high, 40in. wide, 41½in. deep at base, with label of C. Hoebeke-van Den Eynde, Dendermonde. Note: Made by the Belgian organ builders Bartholemew Brothers, who adapted organ building technology for this early post-war juke box, thus overcoming the metal shortage of the time. The coin-slot is marked for 1 franc.
