CANNONBALL ADDERLEY - SOMETHIN' ELSE LP (2ND US MONO PRESSING- BLUE NOTE BLP 1595). Hard to come across 2nd US (mono) pressing of the iconic 1958 album also featuring Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones and Art Blakey. The record (BLP 1595, 'Blue Note Records Inc' '47 West 63rd' labels, deep groove, with ®, with RVG and Plastylite 'p') is in Ex condition with some light surface marks and minor shadowing. The sleeve (2nd printing 'Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 63rd St.' is in Ex condition with some light and minor foxing and some minor age-related edgwear.

Each presented in Art Deco walnut frame and glazed. Measures approx. 87cm x 61cm to include frame.

Thomas Higham (1795-1844) - A collection of mid 19th century Victorian artwork by the English artist Thomas Higham. The lot comprising sketches, studies and drawings collected in original leather portfolios, as well as two copies of the invitation given to guests at the ceremony of laying the First Stone at the New Royal Exchange, London in January 1842. Each signed by James Barnes, and one with prototype pencil annotations by Higham, who drew and engraved the invites. An interesting and varied collection of early Victorian art. Thomas Higham (1795-1844) was an English artist & engraver specialising in topographical and antiquarian pieces. A large collection of his work is held by the British Museum following donation by his nephew William Aldis Wright.
