It was designed to be worn like a pocket watch, but with total protection against dust, humidity, and shock.Throughout its production, various materials were used in the construction and finishing of the case, namely platinum, gold, silver and metal, and decorations included animal skins such as lizard or calf, and enamel or lacquer. These timeless pieces of art were a sales success, and among the most famous models are those signed and sold by Cartier, with gold cases (14k and 18k).This watch was produced in four sizes and the smallest of all, the “Lady” or “Baby”, could be attached to a chain as a necklace or easily stored in a woman’s wallet. From 1930 onwards, the models produced also included an integrated foot stand, allowing them to be used as a table clock. The act of “closing” the watch has a double function of winding it. It was commonly said that by opening and closing this watch six times, it would have enough wind for a 24-hour use.76mm x 36mm
