Canvas size 19 1/2 x 23 1/2 inchesFlorence Hess (1891-1974) was born in Leeds. Studied at Leeds School of Art and from 1905 with the Yorkshire painter Mark Senior. A cased three-strand pearl necklace with white metal clasp set with blue spinel and diamonds, in the Art Deco style. CONDITION REPORT The pearls are cultured, the diameter of the largest pearl in approx 5mm, the diameter of the smallest pearl is approx 3mm. The skins are smooth with natural shape, some blemishes and some natural imperfections. The diamonds have a sparkle but are different sizes and are low grade. No obvious yellow tint. There are no inclusions visible with the naked eye. The blue spinel is approx 5mm x 5mm. Gross weight approx 44.8g The end of one string needs re-attaching to the clasp.

Condition: appears to be in good working order although not sold with any guarantees, dial clean, glass good only minor surface scratches visible with 10x loop, no inscription to case only minor small dent to rear and minor surface wear.

A Jaeger-leCoultre 18ct gold and platinum ultra thin Art Deco pendant pocket watch circa 1930, gold open face signed dial with Roman numerals, blued steel breguet hands, the platinum snap back case referenced 31458 with Swiss hallmarks and stamped 0.950-PT, the inside rim of case stamped 0.750 also with Swiss hallmarks and referenced 31458, the watch powered by an in house 19 jewel manual wind movement, case diameter 43mm, depth 4mm, with what appears to be original black ribbon with gold and platinum coloured chevron mounts unmarked but in our opinion they appear to be gold and platinum. Condition - appears in working order (however not sold with guarantee), advancing, winding, ticking and keeping time fine, general wear to including thinning to ribbon, minor marks and scratches.
