WW2 German 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class in Packet of Issue by Deschler & Sohn Munchen with Award Citation, the cross has a magnetic core. Dark patina to the frame. Complete with ribbon and remaining in good overall condition. Housed in the original printed packet of issue with Deschler & Sohn makers details to the reverse. Accompanied by an original A5 citation for the award named to Gefreiten Wilhelm Ross 3./Art Rgt 205 and signed by the Generalmajor and Kommanderur of 205 Infantry Division Paul Seyffardt (Knights Cross of Iron Cross winner). These items were brought back to the USA from Germany in 1945 by a American GI from Pennsylvania and has laid undisturbed until his trunk of souvenirs were found after his death.
