Margaret Geddes (1914-1996) Below the Horizon, signed and dated on the stretcher on the reverse, inscribed with title verso, oil on canvas, 99 x 127cmNotes: Geddes was a highly individual artist; her style lends itself to abstract expressionism but she was careful to never closely associate herself with any one group. Included in the lot is a copy of a lecture she gave to the Ilkley art Club in April 1966.
