Harry Barr (1896-1987) A group of ten wood engravings from the depression years, mainly character studies, two duplicates, seven signed in pencil on the margin H Barr or Harry Barr and dated 1932. All 7.5x10cm. hand printed on loose leaves from a pad or book. Harry Barr, a student and friend of Walter Sickert, was later renowned for his watercolours and was the first British artist to have a one-man art exhibition in Moscow, 1965. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Catto Gallery in 1990
