Argentiere genovese, 1761. turibolo in argento, del tipo a braciere, costituito da una parte inferiore circolare a balaustro finemente sbalzata e cesellata con motivi di rocailles e pellaccette di tipica manifattura genovese, al cui interno è conservata la coppetta in rame ove bruciare l’incenso. La parte superiore, tripartita, è delimitata da lesene terminanti con teste di cherubini, pareti traforate e presina superiore a fiore. Carlo Balbino, (Torino 1824-1872). Zuccheriera in argento. Sulla base rotonda con bordo sbalzato a girali poggia il corpo, modellato sul tipo del vaso Medici, con forti baccellature nella metà inferiore a cui sono applicati i manici riccamente operati. La metà superiore presenta un’accentuata svasatura che termina con un anello decorato con girali. Completa il tutto un coperchio liscio che supporta al centro una presina avvitata a forma di ghianda con relative foglie. Inginocchiatoio, Lombardia, prima metà del XVIII. la parte superiore con pianetto ribaltabile è decorata con volute intarsiate ed è ingentilita da una grambialatura in legno, il fondale presenta intarsiata una scena marina entro cartiglio mistilineo, all`intorno intarsi di fiori in legni vari di cui taluni colorati. Due movimentate alette intarsiate a volute uniscono la parte superiore all`inginocchiatoio vero e proprio che ribaltandosi svela un ampio vano. Biblioteca con secretaire, Inghilterra, fine del XIX secolo. In mogano a due corpi. Nella parte inferiore un grande cassetto col fronte ribaltabile cela un piano scrittoio con cassetti e ripiani, al di sotto due ante. Il corpo superiore presenta due ante senza vetri, ma chiuse da una grata in ottone dorato a rombi. Il mobile è caratterizzato da una fitta decorazione di filetti in ottone dorato di vari tipi, decorazioni e misure, certamente applicati in epoca successiva, che comunque creano un particolare effetto scenografico. Commode in arte povera, probabilmente Veneto, fine XVIII. Quattro gambe ad obelisco rovesciato supportano un corpo laccato in color nocciola, il piano è marmorizzato in verde, mentre il fronte dei quattro cassetti e i fianchi sono decorati con figurine ritagliate, colorate ed incollate formanti gradevoli paesaggi animati. La bottega dei fratelli Remondini di Bassano del Grappa era nota nel corso del XVIII secolo per stampare gli album con queste figurine , che venivano poi applicate ai mobili, destinati per lo più alle abitazioni di campagna. Questa tecnica prendeva il nome di Arte Povera in quanto realizzata in maniera economica, mentre i mobili per i palazzi di città che venivano laccati, dorati e dipinti a mano, talvolta da noti pittori erano assai più costosi. Arnold Henry Savage Landor (Firenze 1865-1924). Serie di otto paesaggi. Solo uno firmato in basso a destra: A Henry Savage Landor. Olii su tavola, cm 6x15,8; cm 10x17,5; cm 5,8x24; cm 7,5x15 e cm 8x14,5 (nella stessa cornice); cm 14,4x9; cm 11x18,3 e cm 9,5x15. Una recente mostra presso la Galleria Moderna a Palazzo Pitti a Firenze (20 maggio– 29 giugno 2014), ha finalmente rivalorizzato la figura di Arnold Henry Savage Landor (Firenze 1865-1924), del quale presentiamo qui alcune opere provenienti da un’unica collezione privata. . Landor era discendente del poeta Walter Savage Landor (1775-1864) che nel 1821 si era trasferito in Toscana e nipote per parte di madre del Conte Camillo Negroni (ideatore dell’omonimo cocktail). Frequentò lo studio del pittore Stefano Ussi (1822-1901) fu un gran viaggiatore e il suo stile risente di una pittura a impressioni o meglio, a macchia creando delle specie di istantanee emozioni visive. Viaggiò dapprima in Africa Settentrionale e quindi visitò Europa, Cina, Corea, Giappone, America, Australia. Questa piccola collezione comprende paesaggi dei quali solo uno è firmato ma tutti hanno innegabilmente la sua mano e le caratteristiche tecniche e dimensionali dei suoi dipinti. Difficile definirne i luoghi: una città dell’Africa settentrionale (che egli visitò intorno al 1888) all’ora del tramonto con i minareti in controluce, una capanna in un bosco che sembra appartenere ad un paesaggio asiatico, un paesaggio marino con un promontorio e una barca a vela, una laguna in oriente con giunchi, una barca che veleggia sul mare, una strada di una città (forse Parigi?), un paesaggio costiero e infine un porto con varie imbarcazioni. . - Arnold Henry Savage Landor (Firenze 1865-1924).
