Three early nineteenth century blue and white transfer printed teapots and covers, c.1810-20. Two are printed with the Curling Palm pattern and the third, similarly-shaped teapot is decorated with the Fisherman and Pagoda pattern. All 27 cm long. (3) Ex-Trevor Kentish collection. One of the Curling Palm pots was exhibited in the 1974 MCCC exhibition. Condition: Small restorations to tips of spouts and lid rims.

Comprising a hand-painted teapot (no lid) decorated with floral swags and superbly-detailed monograms to each side, a similar cup decorated with floral swags and an armorial to the front, a floral tea bowl, and a moulded floral dish with green ground. Teapot: 22 cm long, dish: 15 cm wide. (4)From the estate of the late Norman Walmsley. Condition: Slight wear to the gilding in places.

Comprising large stand decorated with deer, a blue and white floral plate, another floral plate, a large 19th Century bowl with a dragon to the centre and butterflies and flowers, the frieze with figures and animal pulling a cart, blue floral seal mark within double blue circle, a scenic plate, a small Qing style yellow enamelled bowl with dragon to the frieze, puce printed seal mark, another small bowl decorated with a five clawed dragon in iron red chasing a flaming pearl on a blue ground, blue six character Yongzheng mark, a handled-dish and two teapots and covers. Stand: 26 cm wide, plates 23 cm wide. (10)From the estate of the late Norman Walmsley. Condition: Bowl broken in half, one plate rivetted, one teapot wit associated lid and the other teapot with damage to spout and handle.
Dahl, Roald. The Gremlins, New York: Random House, 1943. Dahl's scarce first book. Presentation copy to W.C. John Alexander, D.F.C. (who formed a friendship with Dahl when they were serving together in the RAF), 'To John, who wrote the bloody thing anyway. Roald Dahl, 25/5/43.' First edition, possibly an earlier state or proof, the text-block stapled within quarter-cloth and pictorial boards (not glued or attached to boards), with corrections by Dahl in pencil (including two instances where Dahl has amended 'Barry' to 'Gus', and an arrow with the word 'No' pointing to a colour illustration of a gremlin next to a teapot).14 full-page colour illustrations (including one double-page). Contents generally good and bright with occasional light discolouration/marks, and a couple of little nicks at lower edges of two pages; the front free endpaper has lifted away from the staples of text-block but is not loose because it is bound to the cloth spine as issued; boards vibrant with some light rubbing/wearProvenance: By descent from W.C. John Alexander, D.F.C. to our vendor. The vendor believes Alexander helped come up with the plot for this book
