A 20th Century Yi Xing teapot as a cut lotus pod, the body with reticulated seeds, the lid decorated as a toad crawling upon a lotus leaf, the handle modelled as a stem, the spout as a curled lotus leaf, raised on three feet simulating lotus roots and a Chinese water chestnut, the lid with impressed Potter's seal mark "Jiang Rong", the handle also stamped CONDITION REPORTS 16.5 cm x 12.5 cm Some minor miniature chips around the rim of the teapot and some to the spout. There may be a small split in the teapot where the decoration folds in over itself near the nape but hard to tell due to the build-up of dirt. The red finish appears to be wearing off on the budding finial above the handle of the teapot. All over various small scratches and marks. The lid with two large chips to the corners and resulting loss. Some further smaller chips and nibbles to the edges. Large loss to the scroll on which the frog is standing. Various scratches and scuffs and marks throughout. All over scratches, nibbles, small chips and general signs of wear and tear.
A 19th century four piece silver tea set, with teapot of melon shaped form, decorated with bands of fruits and flower heads, with pierced leaf foot, Dublin 1835, maker Robert Smith, weight 88oz Condition report: All the same maker and date letter, ivory insulators are cracked, silver in good condition.
