Victorian silver four piece tea and coffee set, comprising teapot of bulbous form, with chased and engraved foliate decoration, fluted and bead borders, silver reeded and leaf mounted handle, with ivory insulators,and recessed hinged cover with ivory finial, on a circular base. Matching coffee pot, sugar and cream jug. (Sheffield 1895) Harris Leon Brown. All at approximately 76ozs. Teapot 24.5cm across.Condition report: General overall condition quite good, some minor surface scratching, wear and denting. Interiors dirty/tarnished. Teapot handle is loose. Coffee pot cover finial is missing. No major damage or repair. Marks are clear.

Le Gallais of Jersey, hallmarked with maker's mark under lid, Charles Reily & George Starer, London, 1851, of squat baluster form with elaborately cast and embossed scrolls and flowers, comprising of a teapot, twin handled sugar basin and a milk jug, the teapot having flower head finial to cover, leaf capped c-scroll handle, raised on bracket feet, having inscribed initials to shaped cartouche to either side, 7 3/8in. (18.7cm.) high, the sugar basin and jug with gilt wash interiors and decorated the same, gross weight 49 tr.oz. (3) * Condition: The teapot with dent to belly at cartouche and two tiny dents opposite, the milk jug with two tiny flea-bite dents to belly, the sugar basin with light surface wear and tiny amount of gilt loss, overall very good.

Otherwise good. - Sugar bowl: Two star cracks to base. - Cream jug: Good condition. - Tea bowls: Three good. One cracked. - Saucers: Three good. One with crack to rim. One with large star crack to base. - Two tea bowls & three saucers: One saucer with discoloured glaze flaw to centre. Otherwise good. - Tea bowl & saucer: Saucer with two small rim cracks and rim chip. Bowl with small rim crack and star crack to base.

A Chinese export porcelain European subject saucer dish, late 18th century, painted with a courting couple and cupid beside a river, within a diaper border with lobed reserves with landscapes, 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) diameter, rim chip; together with a Chinese European decorated plate, badly damaged; a miniature famille rose teapot, pear form, painted with warriors and calligraphy, 4in. (10cm.) high, spout chipped and repaired; and a miniature Canton famille rose teapot. (4) * Condition: - European subject dish: Small rim chip and two glaze frits to rim. Decoration VG. Gilt wear to rim. Two rust marks to back of dish from old metal plate hanger. - Plate: Large piece missing from rim and has been broken in half - has stapled repair. Some wear to decoration. - Pear teapot: Spout has been off and glued - hairline crack beneath spout and another small hairline to rim. Large chip to tip of spout. - Canton teapot: Small rim chip. Gilt wear.
