CHELSEA-DERBY PORCELAIN PART TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE LATE 18TH CENTURY painted with a band of flowerheads within pink borders above petal and leaf tendrils, with gilt highlights and maker's marks, comprising a teapot and cover; a sugar bowl and cover; a milk jug; a stand; three coffee cans (one with handle lacking); three saucers; and two tea bowls (12)
A rare Derby teapot and cover , of barrel form with rare moulding of birds and prunus with flower knop, probably outside decorated in the style of James Giles, border pattern of leaf and berry and the moulding picked out with gilt scrolls, red anchor mark and red no.5 to underside/cones, pattern marked c.1775, 14cm high.
A Worcester teapot and cover, circa 1780, printed in the fisherman and cormorant pattern, and a matching teacup, each with workman's marks, 14 cm and 6 cm respectively CONDITION REPORT: The lid has an exterior rim chip and also a rim chip on the underside of the rim. The spout has been broken off in three places and reattached. The rim has a tiny chip. The remainder of the body and handle appear to be in good order with no obvious faults visible. The coffee can is in good order with no obvious faults.
A Christofle of France five piece silver plated tea service, 20th century, with gadrooned border and hexagonal body on circular foot, all in a fitted presentation case. CONDITION REPORT: The tray has numerous scratches and marks to the underside and some losses to the plate. The top surface is also generally scratched and there are losses to the silver plating. The teapot and hot water jug are in generally good order. They are both a little dirty and have minor surface scratches and require a polish. The sucrier has several small dents and requires a polish but the plating is in good order. The cream jug is in similarly good order but has some rubbing to the plate beneath the spout.
Three Chinese Yixing teapots, each with lid. Tallest 10.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The small globular teapot has been broken at the handle in four places and glued and there are some losses where it joins the body at the front and at the back. The interior of the lid has small chips. The other two teapots appear to be in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or restorations.
