Wear to definition of decoraion, particularly the faces of the figures. Repaired crack to the handle. Cover fits well.

Rim of covers rising ever so slightly. Good gauge and generally good order.
A Victorian Aesthetic Movement Silver Three Piece Tea Service, Joseph & Horace Savory (Goldsmiths Alliance), London 1890, of oval form, engraved with cranes and other birds, bamboo, butterflies, reeds and other foliage in the Japanese taste, engraved to one side with a crest and inscribed Burton 1880-1895, the teapot 24cm long, 28oz 8dwt (3) Quite a few of the punches are rubbed, but marks still legible, cover is part marks. The bases are also applied with the Savory Goldsmiths Alliance trade mark. Decoration is still clear and reasonably crisp. Teapot with ivory insulators and finial, the finial does not tighten fully. Cover fits well and closes tightly.
