JACOB HURD SILVER TEAPOT - Diminutive Sterling Tea Pot by Jacob Hurd of Boston (1703-1758), with his mark on the underside, circa 1745, one of 17 known to exist in this small globular Queen Anne form with the asymmetrical Rococo decoration that Hurd introduced to the Colonies, having the original ebony handle, engraved monogram `I B` is overwork of perhaps a generation later, Paul Revere was Hurd`s protégé, 5 1/4" tall, 10" spout to handle, 5" diam body, small dents where original engraved monogram was burnished away, otherwise fine condition. 16.665 ozt

(3 PC) ANGLO-INDIAN SILVER PRESENTATION TEA SERVICE - Three-Piece Embossed Anglo-Indian Silver Tea Service, no hallmarks, with monogram on sides and presentation on underside of teapot that reads `Presented to Capt. Sir James Rae, in Commomeration (sic) of Knighhood (sic) Confired (sic) on him by Government by his old friends Pestonjee Bhicajee of Karachi`, the pot is 6 1/4" tall, 10 1/2" x 6", the open creamer is 4 1/4" tall, 5 1/2" x 3 1/2", the open sugar is 3 7/8" tall, 7 3/4" x 4 3/4", the hinge is broken on the teapot lid, otherwise very good condition. Total weight is 46.43 ozt.
