Surface marks/scratches to gold.Some damage to the enamel of the Bath charm.Tarnish to silver.Some dents to some of the hollow charms.Plastic dice in the dice charm are very dirty.
A CHINESE SOAPSTONE TEAPOT AND COVER QING DYNASTY Decorated in low relief with two cartouches enclosing sprays of peony and prunus, the flowers reserved on a stylised wave ground heightened with gilt, with finely incised lotus scrolls surrounding the panels and to the cover, 15.5cm. (2) Provenance: from the collection of Dr Elmut Hanfmann (d.1998) and Dr Ingeborg, and thence by descent.
A SMALL GROUP OF CHINESE ITEMS LATE QING DYNASTY/REPUBLIC PERIOD Comprising: a wood opium pipe with metal mounts inset with coloured jewels, two frames containing openwork carved wood panels, one depicting an Immortal with his attendants, the other with three panels of birds and flowers, and three enamelled teapots and covers, the bell-shaped teapots with four character marks to the bases reading guan yao nei zao, the hexagonal-section teapot with a removable liner and a matched cover, with an impressed seal mark to the base, 37cm max. A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL TEAPOT AND COVER FOR THE DUTCH MARKET C.1745 Probably decorated with the Rolandus arms, painted to each side with a lady representing Hope leaning on an anchor, she holds a shield decorated with nude figures in one hand, with a banner bearing a gilt inscription above her, with complex bands encircling the rim and to the cover, 18cm. (2) Cf. Dr J Kroes, Chinese Armorial Porcelain for the Dutch Market, no.247 for a tea bowl and saucer bearing the arms of the Rolandus family.
