A good George III silver six piece tea and coffee service John Emes, London 1798, fully marked, of oval form, comprising a teapot and stand, pedestal coffee pot, twin compartment tea caddy with hinged cover and fixed handle and twin handled sugar basin and milk jug with gilt interiors, all engraved with identical contemporary armorials and crests within crossed foliate sprays, bordered by wrigglework and foliate meanders, the coffee pot 12½in. (32cm.) high, gross weight 85oz. (6) * The arms are those of Parker impaling Walker, probably for Hugh Parker of Woodthorpe, co. York, and his wife Mary, daughter of Samuel Walker of Masborough, co.
