A SILVER-GILT AND NIELLO TEA SET ILLEGIBLE MAKER’S MARK AND MARK OF PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, MOSCOW, 1869–1871, 84 STANDARD Diameter of the tray 31 cm, height of the coffee pot 14.5 cm, of the teapot 12 cm, of the milk jug 7.5 cm. Provenance: Anonymous sale; Christie’s Geneva, 13 November 1995, lot 209. Comprising: a circular tray, coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, two tea spoons, sugar tongs and tea strainer; coffee and tea pot with hinged covers and ivory insulators, nielloed with the views of the Kremlin to one side and blank roundel to the other, within band of scrolls and geometric designs on stippled ground, the tray with dedication engraving in Cyrillic “To V.A. Marzden /From A. and G., the sons of Ivan Khludov, Moscow, 16 April 1872”, in original fitted box.
An electroplated suite of teaware, probably early 20thC, comprising a two handled samovar, coffee pot, teapot, two handled sugar bowl, cream jug and sugar bowl, each of repoussé form, together with a galleried edged tea tray of part pierced form with two shell capped handles and two inkwells, all of a similar design, the samovar 39cm high. A cased R K Dresden tea service, comprising of a teapot, milk jug, two handled sugar bowl and four cups, together with a tray, each transfer printed and centred with an oval with courting couple and child, with a stylized shell and scroll outline, printed blue marks beneath, in fitted box,the tray 46cm wide.

A Meissen floral-encrusted Teapot and Stand, mid 19th century, the lobed body with simulated branch handle, spout and cover, underglaze crossed swords and inscribed M82, the stand of shaped circular form with floral sprays and garlands, the pierced apron with garlands of flowers, on scrolled feet, underglaze crossed swords, 7.5cm overall (2) CONDITION REPORT: Chip to underside of spout. Losses to garland border on stand. Quite substantial loss to apron on stand. Losses to petals and leaves throughout piece. 15 cm - height - on its stand. See images (available upon request).

An eighteenth century Chinese teapot and cover along with seven other Chinese porcelain teawares including cafe au lait Imari decorated saucer. The pot is decorated in gilt and enamel with intricate borders framing scenes enamelled with Mandarin figures, 12cm high. Condition Report : Small rim to to the cover of the teapot. Cup cracked and chipped. Couloured teabowls with rim chips. Saucer and b&w teabowl in good condition.
An A & E Keeling globular teapot and cover, silver shaped teapot stand, spirally fluted slop bowl and coffee cup with pixie ear handle. All decorated in polychrome enamels with flower sprigs and trailing borders, teapot 16cm high. Condition Report : Teapot with a spout chip and hair crack near the handle, light graze to the tip of the finial. Slight pitting to the rim of the bowl. No further damage and free from restoration.
