λA Victorian silver regimental bachelor's teapot, the 15th (Yorkshire East Riding) Regiment of Foot, by Hunt and Roskell, London 1884, also stamped Hunt and Roskell, late Storr and Mortimer, tapering circular form, scroll handle with ivory insulators, hinged cover with a knop finial, inscribed 'Presented to the Officers 2nd Batt. 15th Regt. by Lieutenant W. St. L Chase, 10 September 1875 and Lieutenant H.e.c. Way, 11 September 1877', height 13cm, approx. weight 14.5oz. Provenance: a Private Collection of Regimental Silver. They both joined the 15th Regiment of the 2nd Battalion. During the 2nd Afghan War of 1878-1880 William Chase was assigned to the 28th Bombay Infantry and Henry Way to the 13th Bombay Native infantry. Chase went on to win a VC at the defence of Kandahar.

A George III silver teapot, by Robert and David Hennell, London 1795, oval form, part-fluted decoration, wooden scroll handle and finial, flush hinged domed cover, engraved with a crest, length handle to spout 28.5cm, approx. weight 18.5oz. The crest is that of Fitzgerald (as borne by 1st Baron Fitzgerald of Kilmarnock).

The crest is that of Geddes, Ged, and Fodon.
