FOUJITA TSUGUHARU: (1886-1968) Japanese-French Painter & Printmaker. A charming illustrated A.L.S., Foujita, two pages, oblong 8vo, n.p. (Paris), 7th January 1954, to his friend the journalist Victor Berger-Vachon, in French. Foujita remarks that he has received his correspondent’s offer of a magnificent tea service and continues to draw a small pen and ink sketch, with red pencil additions, of a teapot at the head of a line of several other tea utensils. The artist further states that he has spent a wonderful New Year with his friends, and that after suffering many difficulties he is now starting to work very hard again.
