A GEORGE III SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SET, WILLIAM BURWASH, LONDON, 1813/14 comprising a teapot on stand, a coffee biggin on stand with burner, a milk jug and a sugar bowl, part lobed crested bodies with gadroon rims, all pieces inscribed to underside coffee biggin on stand 27cm high, 2694gr. (86oz) including wood handles and an ivory finial but excluding wood based teapot stand (6) The inscriptions read: `From Captn. & Mrs. Henry Matson to their Affectionate Friend Mrs. Woodhouse. Octr. 1814.` The crest is that of Woodhouse. Captain Henry Matson, RN, of Conduit Street, Hanover Square, London and Walmer, Kent, came from a naval family (brother of Rear Admiral Richard Matson and cousin to Vice Admiral John Harvey), entering the service in 1796. His successful career saw him capturing French ships in 1805 and 1807. He was put out of commission in 1810, retiring on half pay. His twenty-two year old wife died, shortly after the gift of this tea and coffee set had been made, on 18th March 1815. Henry Matson lived on until May or June, 1827 (The Gentleman`s Magazine, London, April 1815, p. 374 & Jan.-June 1827 Supplement, p.644/645).
Isle of Man Railway, small Teapot. A wonderful item with the full title scroll beneath the 3 legged motif showing clearly on the side. Manufactured by Dunn Bennett & Co, Burslem, it is white with gold rim and spout decoration, black motif. The spout is protected with a metal cover. Extremely rare and in extremely good, undamaged condition.
Windbells - A Clarice Cliff Bon Jour bachelor tea service circa 1933 comprising teapot, milk, sugar, tea cup and saucer hand painted with a stylised tree landscape with orange, ochre and green banding, FANTASQUE and Bizarre mark. Condition - Break to the corner of the teapot lid and some minor wear to the banding.

Cuttle; 2 versions of `Barnaby Rudge`, `Mr. Pickwick` & `Poor Jo`,. Five saucers incl: `Bill Sykes`, 2 x `Tony Weller`, `Little Nell`, `Fagin`, Sucrier `Mr. Pickwick` and 3 tea cups - `Mr. Pickwick`, `Mr. Micawber` & `Sam Weller` (cracked) & a `Mr. Micawber` Teapot, (spout chipped).
A Chinese famille noire hexagonal teapot and cover, decorated with reticulated panels of pine, prunus and bamboo, the handle modelled as a fish, Kangxi 1662-1722, the lid a poor fit, damage to cover and spout, 15.5cm. (2) Provenance: Sackville, 5th Earl of Yarborough, purchased from John Sparks Ltd., for 95 guineas, and recorded in the Sparks archive. Cf. Bonhams, the du Boulay Collection of Chinese Ceramics, 2003, lot 9. A similar teapot, formerly at Burghley House, was included in the Devonshire Schedule, the house contents inventory 1688-1690.
