A 19th Century Victorian silver hallmarked Edward & John Barnard made teapot of round tapering form decorated with repousse floral garlands to the sides with engraved vine decoration having a floral finial lid with acanthus leaf moulded handle raised on a footed base, the side being engraved 'Presented to the Rev. Alexander Lowry by several members of the committee of management and other friends of the Royal Portsmouth Portsea & Gosport Hospital July 1862'. Hallmarked London 1861. Measures 19 cm tall. Weight 661g.
A German 835 grade silver three piece tea service, comprising teapot with rosewood handle and finial, milk jug, sugar bowl, each with planished detail, and a Kerit bakelite tray with white metal mounts, approx 20.77ozt/645.9g (4).Additional InformationThe tray with water marks/cup rings, general wear, tarnishing, light scratches, the hinge cover does not close completely beside the handle, but is good.
