(25.4cm.) high, each piece decorated with vacant laurel leaf wreath cartouche to both sides and foliate decorated border, gross weight 55.1 tr.oz. (4), *Condition:in excellent condition, (near mint to mint), clear strong hallmarks, no dents.
A Chinese porcelain blue and white bowl, probably 19th century, with slightly everted rim and circular foot, painted with a band with four large flowerheads and scrollwork above faux-fluting, two concentric bands and a foliate sprig to interior, painted seal mark to base, 7½in. (19cm.) diameter; together with three Ming style blue and white tea bowls, stoutly potted, painted with crosses and flowers, the larger 3¼in. (8.25cm.) diameter, all with hairlines; and a Chinese export famille rose teapot, globular form with floral painted reserves on a marbled ground with enamelled pomegranates, with antique silver spout repair. (5), *Condition: - Bowl: Very good with no cracks, hairlines or chips. Minor scratching to interior., - Tea bowls: Two with several hairlines, one of which has a rim chip. The other with one hairline and several small chips from rim. Two have glaze discolouration around hairlines/glaze flaws., - Teapot: Two small chips and some glaze flaking around edge of cover. Small hole flaw to handle from the making. Spout is a 19th century repair - small dent and tiny split to spout.
An early 18th century needlework panel, the central panel in fine needlepoint depicting two noblemen and their wives seated at a table taking tea in a garden landscape, within an acanthus decorated frame with red roses to the outset corners, 19 x 23in. (48.25 x 58.5cm.), stitched into the centre of a gros point panel with all over floral decoration and deep red velvet wrapped edges, 36 x 41in. (91.5 x 104cm.)., *Condition:2in split and stitched repairs to other splits at top centre just below frame. Small hole to centre (to left of right hand lady's chair), another to right hand man's chair back, one to right hand of frame, two to centre left of frame and one just below base of teapot. Some old stitched repairs evident in places and some small gaps pulling in places at edges in design. Colours mellowed overall. Gros point border good overall. Some splits to edges of brown backing cloth with stitched repairs in places around edges and corners. Five brass hanging loops stitched to top edge of back.
