Regimental Interest: a George IV/William IV Scottish matched three piece circular teaset, with gadrooned borders (the cream and sugar with gilt interiors by an unknown maker, 'GP', Edinburgh 1828, the teapot by Elder & Co, Edinburgh 1836) the base of the teapot inscribed 'Made from the silver of two cups presented to the late Charles Sharp of Hoddom in 1806 by the Dumfries-shire Volunteer Infantry, he being at that time Major of the Regiment, converted of this date January 1837' the cream and sugar, crested, 45oz.
