Early 19th century tea service of Rockingham design, comprising a teapot, sucrier on stand, two serving plates, slop bowl, milk jug, twelve teacups & saucers and eight smaller teacups, the teapot and sucrier with rose knops and pierced heart bases, all pieces acanthus moulded handles and gilt foliate decoration, some pieces marked in puce with the pre-1847 Royal Coat of Arms, pattern no. 2/6396Condition Report:Sucrier: Some small chips to the cover's inner rim. The sucrier has a hairline cracks around the rim, handles and base. Teapot: Cover discoloured and has some small chips to the inner rim. Some small stress cracks near the spout. Teacup: Hairline crack from the rim to the base of the handle. All pieces having some loss of gilding and surface wear.
