A Victorian treacle glazed Barge Ware teapot with motto 'A present from a friend', and coloured floral decoration in relief and with teapot shaped finial to lid (af), height approx 29cm, and a Crown Devon musical commemorative jug for the coronation of George VI (2). CONDITION REPORT: The teapot finial has had handle off and crudely reglued, pronounced crazing throughout, chip to lid rim underside, further glue residue to teapot finial spout, possible damage to the area, chip to teapot body rim interior, usual wear, surface pitting, manufacturing imperfections etc.
A GEORGE IV SILVER TEAPOT, of flattened circular form, flower head shaped finial above hinged cover and body later repousse decorated with foliate scrolls, worn crest engraved to cartouche, ebony handle, maker's mark WE, London 1821, approximate weight 21ozt, 658 gramsCondition: the hinge has some losses to it but operates in that it opens and closes and the lid sits flush, the teapot is table on the level, the crest is worn, the handle has a little play in it top and bottom and also has some staining just above each join, the interior of the teapot is well stained and having been held up to the light there is no sign of holes to the engraving
