Lot 47

A 19th century Russian teapot, two cups and two saucers, one cup bearing label "Popov 1860". CONDITION REPORT: The teapot has a hairline crack to the handle and the gilding is rubbed in places. There are also two small under edge chips to the foot rim there are no other issues. One saucer has a 1 cm hairline crack to the rim. The other has a small rim chip and a 1 cm hairline crack to the rim. Both cups are in good order with no damage. All pieces have some rubbing to the gilding.

Lot 48

A Soviet teapot and lidded jug, the teapot marked "Soviet Circa 1925", Kuzhetzov lidded vessel with integral base, blue printed mark and label, and a Russian teapot. CONDITION REPORT: The blue teapot is in generally good condition. There is no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The only issues are rubbing to the gilding. The lidded sucrier and stand is in generally good order with only minor rubbing to the gilding. The pink teapot has damage. There is a chip to the underside edge of the foot rim and two chips to the rim of the base of the teapot. The handle has also been broken and re-glued. The lid is in good order. The cream jug has had a replacement lid, the spout has been restored and there is a hairline crack around the top of the handle.

Lot 50

A collection of Russian ceramics, comprising teapot, lidded sucrier, four cups and four saucers, with puce mark to base, a similar coffee pot and lidded sucrier, the sucrier bearing ink label "Gardener", and a polychrome cylindrical pot also marked "Gardener". CONDITION REPORT: All pieces have minor rubbing to the gilding, other than this all of the matching pieces in this lot are in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The "Gardener" basin has a small chip to the rim and a star crack to the base. We do not know whether these are first quality or not.

Lot 85

A collection of teapots, English, Oriental and European (21). CONDITION REPORT: Nine of the teapots appear to be in good order with the correct lids and no damage or restoration. They are simply dirty. The remaining twelve teapots all have minor problems. Three have one small chip each (two to spout and one to inner rim.) The small teapot with the wicker handle has a substantial chip to the end of the spout. The large teapot with wicker handle has a tiny spout chip. The teapot with the light blue floral pattern and gilding has a spout chip and is badly crazed to the interior. The Chinoiserie teapot is stained and has the wrong lid. The blue and white silver shaped teapot has a chip to the lid and is crazed. There is also a small chip to the spout. The transfer printed teapot with figure and cottage scene has a badly repaired lid. The blue & white transfer printed bullet shaped teapot has a badly broken spout. The large Chinoiserie teapot has a crack and glued lid. The last blue and white teapot has some crazing and is a little discoloured and has a small chip to the underside edge of the lid.

Lot 87

A 19th century Chinese blue and white barrel shaped teapot and cover, height 11 cm, and a Cloisonne vase. CONDITION REPORT: The base of the teapot has an old hairline crack running from the top of the rim right down to the base of the teapot. This is clearly evident when viewed from the inside and also visible but less so from the outside. The lid has one very tiny edge nibble. Other than the two defects mentioned the piece is in good order.
