Two Chinese Canton miniature teapots, 19th century, one with domed lid and decorated with figures and verso butterflies amongst flowers, the other with a panel of figures and verso a bird alighting a flowering branch, and a Canton cylindrical brush pot. Smallest height 6 cm, tallest 12 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are two small grazes to the interior rim of the smallest teapot but these do not appear to be chips and appear to have been done in manufacture. The gilding around the rim is 95% erased. Overall the body appears to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The teapot lid has a small pinhead air bubble blister to the knop however this has been produced in manufacture. Otherwise it is in good order albeit with some light rubbing to the gilt rims. The larger of the two teapots has 30% rubbing to the gilding on the spout rim and 50% gilt rubbing to the rim of the teapot. The enamels and decorations appear to be in good order with no losses or flaking. The teapot body appears to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks or faults. The teapot cover is in generally good order albeit there is some rubbing to the red paint on the rim and a small piece of rubbing to the knop but otherwise the body is good. The brush pot has lost 30% of its gilding to the rim. There are no obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The painted enamel decoration appears to be all intact with no obvious losses.
