Teapot. China, XX century. Carnelian. It carries a label of provenance of old collection. Measurements: 9.5 x 14 x 10 cm. Teapot made entirely in carnelian, presenting a haloed finish. The fluid and organic forms show the importance that the allusion to nature has for the oriental culture. Nature is, for oriental art, a source of inspiration and creation of artistic concepts that are reflected in the production of everyday objects, functional and totally handmade.
