RICHARD FREEMAN; a rare George II English provincial bullet shaped teapot with later floral embossed decoration and wooden handle, raised on a spreading circular foot, Exeter 1732, length of teapot 16.75cm, approx 7.7ozt/239.5g.Richard Freeman is registered in 1720 as working from Plymouth.Additional InformationThere is an old solder repair where the handle meets the body of the teapot, the handle itself is replaced and has been screwed through at the lower section which looks unsightly. The embossed decoration is of a later date but the teapot has a good solid gauge throughout. There is possible repair around the foot rim. The lid is very slightly misshapen and the finial may well have been replaced. The lid is unmarked but the marks are clear to the base.

SÈVRES; a mid-19th century cased porcelain cabaret set comprising shaped tray, teapot, lidded bowl, jug, cup and saucer, each piece hand painted with portraits of King Louis XVI and Marie-Louise Thérèse Princesse de Lanbelle, width of tray 23.5cm, printed marks to the reverse including 1846 circular blue Sevres mark, S.37 and also with printed mark within a red crowned roundel 'Château de F.Bleau'.Additional InformationThere is lost jewelling around the tray and teapot. The leaves on the lids of both the teapot and bowl are of a matt colour and have been restored. Minor rubbing to the gilding, otherwise OK.
A Japanese Meiji period Satsuma tea service comprising teapot, lidded jug, six cups and six saucers, each decorated with figures in a landscape and signed, height of teapot 14.5cm.Additional InformationSmall chip to rim of teapot and small chip to lid of teapot, One cup is cracked and also stained. 1cm firing crack and blemish to the lidded jug. Heavy rubbing to the gilding throughout and traces of paper which is stuck to the pieces. Surface scratches and considerable losses to the gilding in parts.
