A Victorian electroplated teapot, designed by Christopher Dresser for Elkington & Co., circa 1880, 15cm high/Provenance: Spetchley Park CONDITION REPORT: Splits to lower part of ebonised handle. Plating worn particularly where handle joins body at top. Green corrosion to each side over the gothic monograms (one each side). Other spots of green corrosion. One leg bent. Overall poor condition. Marked beneath 16611 / E&Co / Elkington & Co.

Sugar bowl - riveted crack through base. Teapot stand and saucer dish each with a hairline crack. Five cups with a chip or hairline crack. Seven cups worn (but undamaged). 25 cups good condition, the remaining with either minor damage or worn. 59 saucers good. 4 saucers with a chip or crack, 24 stained or worn.
