An extensive Royal Copenhagen Frijsenborg pattern dinner and tea service, including meat plates, jugs and a teapot (occasional damage) Condition report Report by JB 4 egg cups, 6.5 cm high, all display general wear including rubbing. One cup has been broken and then repaired (re-glued) all decorated flowers 910/1869. 10 tea cups, 10 cm diameter, all display general wear from age and use. Some rubbing to gilt, some moderate staining to the interior of a few. A few pox marks/glaze faults are present. All decorated flowers 910/1551. 8 two handled soup bowls, 13 cm diameter, general wear, light discolouration in regions, rubbing to gilt and handles. A few pox and glaze faults are present. One bowl has a large chip to rim (loss) all decorated flowers 910/1872. 4 coffee cans, 6 cm high, general wear, light rubbing, couple of pox marks, all decorated flowers 910/546. 2 cream jugs, 11 cm high, general markings and rubbings, both decorated flowers, 910/1536. 4 small sauce boats, 14 cm wide, 4 cm high, general marks and wear, some staining of note to the inside of one, including house paint. Few small pox marks and glaze faults. All decorated flowers, 910/1883. 2 veg tureen, 28 cm wide, display more signs of wear than most items, marks and discolouration, more of note to the inside. One lid has been broken into at least four sections and then repaired with glue. One handle badly chipped with loss of note. Glaze faults present to underside, both decorated flowers 910/1702. Small pot with lid, 9 cm diameter, 11 cm high, tinge of discolouration, rubbing to gilt, some marks to underside decorated flowers 910/1678. Larger pot with lid and two handles, 16 cm wide inc. handles, 15 cm tall, general marks and wear, again some discolouration to surface. The lid has been broken in two and is repaired with glue, decorated with flowers, 910/1865. Tea Pot, 18 cm high, 26 cm wide inc. spout, general marks and wear, some light rubbing to gilt regions, of note around the handle. Sauce boat with attached base (larger) 25 cm wide, very grubby, displaying general wear and rubbing to gilt regions. Few marks of note to the interior, decorated flowers 910/1871. Leaf dish, 23 cm wide, general wear, discolouration, light rubbing to gilt. 2 large serving dishes, 37 cm wide, quite a large amount of rubbing, wear to detail and gilt, discoloured, both decorated flowers 910/1556. 2 serving dishes, 31 cm wide, again rather worn and marked with discolouration present. Some loss to detail, both decorated flowers 910/1555. Serving dish, 25 cm wide, general marks, discoloured, decorated flowers 910/1863. 9 plates, 22 cm diameter, general wear and discolouration, rubbing and marks present. Pox marks and faults present, one has a chip of note to the rim, all decorated flowers 910/1623. 19 saucers, 14.5 cm diameter, marking and wear of note, discoloured, pox and glaze faults present, rubbing to gilt. Damage and home made repairs to six of the plates, including cracks, chips and some loss. Decorated flowers 910/1810. 12 saucers, 15 cm diameter, general marks and wear, some discolouration, few pox/glaze faults, rubbing to gilt. Hairline crack present to one, another damaged, decorated flowers 910/1551. 16 dinner plates, 25.5 cm diameter, general marks and wear, rubbing to gilt, some scratches of note to detail regions (flowers in the centre), discolouration also present. Pox marks and glaze faults present, some more of note than others. Two have large chips of note to the rim and one has as large crack that nearly runs the length of the plate. All decorated flowers 910/1621. The majority of the set displays degrees of discolouration, more notable ones have been highlighted along with damage. Some pattern numbers differ across the sets to correspond with different types of flowers Please see illustrations
A late 18th century Worcester porcelain teapot, decorated in underglaze blue, and an associated cover (minute chips), 15 cm high Condition report Report by JB Overall teapot displays general signs of wear and markings. Starting with the lid - the flowerhead handle has some noticeable chips and marks to the surrounding petals, with some loss. Blue colours in reasonably good order. There is a crack across one of the leaves to the base of the flower, which may have been caused during firing, with some loss. Exterior and interior rim display light nibbles. A few pox marks and glaze faults can also be observed. The main body again displays pox marks and glaze faults. Blue colour in relatively good order. Most noticeable marks to the handles, in the form of small specks under the glaze, which can also be observed to the top rim. There are a few nibbles and marks around the end of the spout. What would appear to be a firing hole can be observed to the interior of the teapot. Apart from that there would not appear to be any major damage of note Please see illustrations for details
A collection of Susie Cooper tea wares decorated with "Wild Strawberry" pattern to include teapot, cups and saucers, plates and milk jug, together with a collection of Susie Cooper soup bowls and saucers decorated in moss green and brown on a cream ground, a Royal Doulton "Malvern" pattern coffee pot and coffee cups and a collection of Grosvenor china teawares CONDITION REPORTS All in used and worn condition, and some with damage and losses including teapot lid broken in half and crudely re-glued, a purple cup broken, etc. The soup bowls are very dirty and one has a crack to the handle, but otherwise soup bowls appear ok. The Susie Cooper teapot is quite small - approx 12cm high including lid and finial.
A large collection of Villeroy & Boch "Geranium" pattern dinner and tea wares CONDITION REPORTS All in used condition with some general wear and scuffs, one plate broken and glued, there is a stand but no gravy boat, includes six teacups, five coffee cups, two large cups, six bowls, five dinner plates, lidded tureen, teapot, etc. General condition appears reasonably good.
A Minton's miniature floral decorated tea set on tray, together with a Minton trinket dish and cover, and two Minton's jugs CONDITION REPORTS All with general wear and scuffs. Twin handled sauce boat with chip to foot rim, discolouration and possible restoration to both handles. Full sized milk jug with some roughness to rim but otherwise appears sound. Lidded circular trinket dish with three ground down marks to underside, but otherwise appears OK. Miniature wares - one saucer broken and with losses, there are five cups and five saucers, a sucrier, a teapot, a milk jug and a tray, and with the exception of the broken saucer, the miniature items appear in reasonably good condition, with only minor signs of wear.
