A Chinese Wucai glazed teapot, Wanli six-character mark, 19th/20th Century, of rounded globular form, with integrated flat cover, the handle formed from scaley dragoons, typically glazed in red, yellow, underglazed blue and green enamels, the body painted with phoenix and dragons in flight, before ruyi fire scrolls, 15cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Extensive scuffing and wear visible to the underside of the cover. Significant wear to the inner lip of the upper rim. Small chip to the spout approx 0.5cm in size. Repaired break to the spout, glue line visible. Large chips to the area where the handle joins the body of the teapot. Small chips to the tip of the finial.
