Coffee pot lid, handle and teapot handle each part marked. Teapot lid hallmarked Walker & Hall, 1856. All hallmarks with small amount of wear but clear and legible. Body with couple of knocks to fluting. Spout tip pushed downwards and knocked slightly. Lid does not quite close flush to. One cup with two long hair cracks to the rim. One with a crack across the lower handle terminal. One with a short crack to the rim near the upper handle terminal. One with slight flakes to the foot. One saucer with a broken section to the rim professionaly restored. Another with a star crack in the base. Two saucers with a large rim chip. One pedestal dish with firing crack to foot. Some typical minor enamel, gilt and glaze wear.Teapot 12.5cm high and the same handle to spout. Sucrier 16cm handle to handle 12cm high. Jugs 13.5cm high. Pedestal dishes 21cm diameter. Saucers 15cm diameter.

The teapot and hot-water jug each further part marked inside cover. There is some overall surface scratching and wear consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. There are some bruises, particularly noticeable to the hot-water jug. The hot-water jug is lacking the wood part of the finial. The finial on the teapot has a replaced spacer under the wood section.

The cream-jug rocks slightly when placed on a flat surface. There is some wear and loss to the plating on the tray.

A George II Provincial Silver Teapot, by Francis Batty, Newcastle, 1721 bullet-shaped and on collet foot, with wood handle and finial, the bayonet-mounted cover with part turned wood finial, engraved underneath 'F*F to S*F'23.5cm wide over handle, gross weight 23oz 12dwt, 735grFully marked underneath and further marked inside cover with lion passant and leopard's head. Further engraved underneath with a scratch weight 'oz23=15'. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The sides have presumably been erased and there is some fire-scale visible. There is a small solder repair at the bottom of the spout. The handle and wood finial are probably later. There is some bruising to the edges of the cover.

Further marked on cover bezels and under lamp. The marks are generally clear. The maker's mark is perhaps overstriking the mark of another maker. There is some minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some minor cracking and discolouration to the ivory handles. The kettle is marked for 1829, the stand and the other pieces are all marked for 1830. Both the teapot and the hot-water jug are somewhat ill-fitting in the stand and are perhaps are not originally intended to go together.
