A George IV silver rounded rectangular teapot, by William Bateman, London, 1823, gross 25 oz.CONDITION: Numerous small dings and a few larger dents around the undecorated belly. Two small dents around the top rim. Two small dents to the lid. A few small dents and some scratches to the underside of the base. A few small dings to the spout. Hallmarks clear but with some rubbing.
A FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, Birmingham 1901, mark probably that of Charles Herner, comprising teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and creamer, of oblong form, each piece embossed and chased with scroll and foliate decoration against an orange peel ground, with central vacant cartouche, the pots with ebon handles and finials, (c.54 troy ozs in all).
