19th Century Royal Worcester Japanese style teapot having a turquoise and gilt decorated matt brown glaze, formed as two scrolls tied with a ribbon, the underside marked in relief, 12.75cm high Condition: There is a 1mm chip to the underside of the spout, some very minor rubbing to the gilding, the underside of the pot near the applied mark there is a circular glaze flake where the blue glaze has not taken - **General condition consistent with age
19th Century Minton majolica figural teapot formed as a rooster, impressed marks and date code for 1876, 20cm long Condition: There is a minor rim chip to the internal lower edge of the cover approximately 2mm in diameter, there are two other further equidistant glaze bubbles suggesting that all three points are where the lid stood in the kiln on supports, the beak of the rooster is chipped top and bottom, the bottom chip being approximately 6mm x 3mm, the top upper beak chip approximately 4mm x 2mm, there is a firing fault to the interior rim where a small flap of clay has not quite blended into the rest of the rim and there is a pin prick sized hole alongside this point, both are barely visible to the naked eye and are covered by the lid - **General condition consistent with age

Channel Islands/Jersey Interest - Victorian silver three piece tea service by John Le Gallais, each piece of engraved baluster form, ogee scroll handle and standing on splayed scroll supports, the teapot bearing the inscription 'Testimonial. On the night of the 11th January, 1862, The Steam Packet 'Courrier' encountered a terrific storm off the Caskets. This tea service & a purse of 21 Sovereigns were presented to Capt H.B. Harvey in approbation of his skill and coolness on that trying occasion as also of his unvarying attention to the comfort of his passengers. Jersey 11th April 1862'.
