Lot 551

A quantity of Chinese Cantonese tea ware, including two teapots, jug and five tea cups. CONDITION REPORT: The cream jug is in good condition with no issues. The two large teacups are in good order with only minor rubbing to the gilding. Two of the three smaller teacups are also in good order with only minor rubbing to the gilt. The third has a hairline crack, a small chip and some overpainting to the gilding. The taller teapot lid is in good condition other than rubbing to the gilding. We are not convinced that the lid matches the base. The teapot itself has had a chip to the top lip which has been glued. There is also some rubbing to the gilding and roughness to the foot rim. The small teapot lid is in generally good condition with rubbing to the gilding and minor nibbles to the bottom rim. The teapot itself is in good order with no issues other than rubbing to the gilding.

Lot 580

A Chinese porcelain hexafoil teapot stand, modelled in relief with flower heads and foliage, decorated in the famille rose palette with a central gilt medallion, Yongzheng/Qianlong, 13.5 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: This stand has an old small chip to the rim at approximately the 8 o'clock mark. There is some loss to the gilding to the rim particularly to the lower portion between the 5 and 9 o'clock areas. It addition there is some loss of decoration to the inner rim to the leaves and flowers and there is very minor gilding loss to the central floral cartouche. There is no other evidence of chipping repairs, restoration or damage.
