A Davenport Longport japan pattern tea service comprising six cups and saucers, teapot, milk jug and sucrier CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs. The teapot with chips and losses to spout. Some items with crazing and discolouration. One cup chipped. Teapot with some hairline cracks. Some crazing. One saucer cracked and broken.
A collection of floral encrusted miniature chinawares to include a Spode basket No'd 4782, a Spode teapot No'd 1788, a sucrier, a Spode milk jug No'd 4788, and a small cup and saucer CONDITION REPORTS Overall dirt, wear and scuffs. Various chips and losses to applied decoration. One lid broken and repaired and over-painted. Damage, restoration and over-painting to the teapot. Jug handle restored / re-modelled. Some repairs and repainting to the handle of basket. Generally repairs to be of some age and have discoloured.
A Victorian silver gilt three piece tea set, the teapot and sugar basin of flattened spherical form with a waisting band and undulating rim, the milk jug of helmet shape, each piece on spreading circular foot with beaded border, maker`s mark of R. & S. Garrard & Co., London 1882 (teapot) and 1883, with associated 18th Century style sugar tongs, total approx. weight 19 1/2 troy oz, in fitted burr walnut and brass bound case with nameplate for M. G. A Sadlers style pottery novelty teapot in the form of a tank, a Coopercraft Pottery dog and three other items. Condition Report: Small dog has a chip to its tail and crazing. Teapot crazed throughout. Wear to silver on gunners helmet and small chip to the uderneath of the helmet and the top edge of the lid. No noticable cracks but doesn't 'ring' well.
A Susie Cooper Crown Works Kestrel shape part coffee service for six, with green and black bands, pattern no. 500 (two saucers missing), and dinner wares in the same pattern. Condition Report: Teapot has a flake of paint missing to the body at the base of the handle. One can has a chip to the edge of the foot. Plates rubbing to the paintwork. One soup bowl has a crack through the handle. Tureen, chip to the base, rubbing to the paint and a hairline crack. All pieces have a degree of crazing.
A rare mid 18th century Chelsea Red anchor period globular teapot and cover, exquisitely painted with floral sprays and various insects, circa 1752-55, height 11.5cm. (See illustration) Condition Report: The spout has three small chips. There are some tiny chips to the rim where the lid sits. The lid has a chip to the rim. Some rubbing to the rim decoration.
