A RARE CHINESE YIXING TEAPOT AND COVER BY CHEN BO FANG EARLY QING DYNASTY With a flattened circular body, the handle formed as a geranium stem, the spout as a rolled leaf and the base as a blossom, the cover as an upturned flower, all elements evoking a swirling sensation of motion, signed Bo Fang to the lid, 18.5cm. (2) Provenance: an English private collection, Lancashire. Cf. C S Low, Fine Yixing Stoneware from the Hezhenghai Collection, p.240-241, no.88 for a related teapot of this form.
