Large bowl with 2 hairline cracks to the rim, fine crackling to the glaze and some discolouration to the base. Two cups (9cms) with hairline cracks and one with crack to handle. One cup with slight gilt rub to rim. Jug with minor gilt rub to rim and handle. One saucer with hairline crack and one with paint chip. Side plate and cake plate with hairline crack. Cake plate with restoration /stapled. Some fine crazing to some pieces. Book in good condition.

Fully marked under teapot and under stand. The teapot further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The cartouches have been erased and the engraving has perhaps been refreshed. The handle is somewhat loose in the sockets.

A George III Provincial Silver Teapot, by Dorothy Langlands, Newcastle, 1808, oblong and on four ball feet, the hinged cover slightly domed and with part-wood finial, with wood handle, engraved with a crest, 21.5cm wide over handle, gross weight 12oz 16dwt, 225gr . Fully marked underneath, the cover apparently unmarked. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wood handle is replaced and there is some loss to the wood finial. The surface is somewhat bright. The wing-nut inside is marked with lion passant only and is probably later.

Each piece fully marked underneath, the coffee-pot and teapot each further part marked inside cover. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some cracking and discolouration to the ivory handles and finials.

A Four-Piece Victorian Silver Tea and Coffee-Service, by John Hunt and Robert Roskell, London, The Coffee-Pot 1871, The Remainder 1878, each piece pear-shaped and on spreading foot, the sides chased with foliage and flowers and with a cartouche engraved with a crest, comprising: a teapot; a coffee-pot, each with ivory insulated handle; a cream-jug and a sugar-bowl, the coffee-pot 23cm high, total gross weight 76oz 7dwt, 2,375gr (4) A tea and coffee-service, also by Hunt and Roskell and of a very similar pattern to the present service was sold Christie's, London, 15 April 2014, lot 832.. Each piece fully marked underneath or near handle. The teapot and coffee-pot each further marked on handle and finial and inside cover. The marks are generally clear. The piece each further stamped 'Hunt & Roskell Late Storr and Mortimer' and numbered '7524', '7611' or '6020'. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points. There are also some bruises, most obvious on the bases, some of which rock slightly when placed on a flat surface. The ivory insulators are somewhat cracked and stain with some minor loses.

Each piece marked on lower body. The teapot further part marked inside cover and on handle. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some discolouration, cracks and shinkages to the ivory insulators.

Fully marked under base. Further part marked on handle, inside cover and on finial. The marks are generally clear. There are overall surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. There are a number of bruises overall, particularly noticeable on each side, which there has probably been an erasure. There are some cracks and staining to the ivory insulators. There is a crack to the silver body behind the handle.

Ltd., Birmingham, 1952, With Import Marks for Dublin, each piece bombé and on foliage and shell-capped feet, comprising: a teapot; a hot-water jug, each with composition handle; a cream-jug and a sugar-bowl, the hot-water jug 23.5cm high, total gross weight 67oz 15dwt, 2,107gr (4). Each piece marked underneath. The teapot and hot-water jug each further marked inside cover. Each piece further marked with Dublin import marks. The marks are generally clear, though the import date letter on the hot-water jug is unclear. There are some minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use.

Each piece marked near handle. The teapot and coffee-pot each further part marked inside cover. There is some minor wear to the marks near the handle, though each is still legible. There is overall surface scratching and wear as well as some bruising, particularly on the foot of the coffee-pot, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving and the high points. The inscription reads 'E.H.G & S.E.G. 1892-1917 from W.G.L.'.

Each fully marked near handle. The teapot further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear. Further marked underneath with trademark and stamped '3311'. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. The lid of the cover is slightly bruised and doesn't close tightly.
