An extensive Paragon "Tree of Kashmir" dinner, tea and coffee service, comprising 6 dinner plates, 6 medium plates, 8 side plates, sandwich plate, 6 small bowls, 6 soup bowls each with stand, sauce boat and stand, coffee pot and teapot, sugar basin, cream jug, 6 oval plates, 2 condiments, 8 teacups and saucers, 8 coffee cups and saucers, 2 egg cups and small plate, egg cup etc (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This service has clearly seen very little use. There is no discoloration, no chips, no cracks and no rubbing to the gilding. One large plate has a slight loss to the pattern on the rim and a few other pieces have minor firing marks to the undersides but generally speaking the service is in extremely good condition.
A Wedgwood bone china "Liverpool Birds" pattern part tea and dinner service. (86) CONDITION REPORT: This dinner service does show signs of use. All pieces are a little dirty. Much of the dirt would wash off. Most pieces seem to have underside edge kiln glazing marks. All tea and coffee cups have rubbed glaze to the sharp foot rim. Seven of the goblets have very minor glaze nibbles to the foot rims. Four of the seven have hairline cracks. One sauce boat has a stained interior. Five of the soup bowls are stained and have crazing to the glaze. Four of the dinner plates are stained and crazed and one of the four has an edge chip. Three of the medium plates are stained, crazed, and chipped. One medium plate is crazed and another has a glaze spot. One teapot has chips to the spout another has a small glaze nibble to the end of the spout. Eight of the large cups have hairline cracks, chips and some have discolouration. Seven of the saucers have hairline cracks, discolouration and two have chips.
An oval pearl ware teapot, blue and white, circa 1810. Height 14 cm, length 23 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The teapot is in generally very good condition with no significant issues. There are no repairs and no restoration. The under-side edge of the lid has two small chips to the inner lid rim. The aperture into which this lid fits has one small glaze chip. Other than these minor defects the piece is in very good order.
A Chinese Yixing teapot, with dog terminal. Height 14 cm, length 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lid has a break and loss to one corner. There is a further chip to the inner edge of the top recess. The body of the teapot has had a significant break and glued repair. There is evidence of glue also around the spout.
A complete Coalport tea and coffee service: of London shape, painted with birds and floral bouquets reserved on a gilded cobalt blue ground, circa 1815-20, pattern no.759, comprising; teapot, cover and stand, sucrier and cover, slop bowl, milk jug, two dishes, twelve tea cups, twelve coffee cups and twelve saucers, forty five pieces [minor damage].
A mixed lot of 18th century English blue and white porcelain: including a rare First Period Worcester low-footed sauceboat painted in 'The Boatman' pattern, workman's mark, circa 1755, 15cm long [hair crack]; a globular tea caddy printed in 'The Fence' pattern, hatched crescent mark, circa 1780, 13cm; a Worcester barrel shaped teapot and matched cover printed in the 'Rose-Centered Spray' pattern; and a Christian's Liverpool 'Liver Bird' pattern teapot and cover [some damage] 4.
A Continental porcelain teapot and cover: the circular lobed body with bird's head spout and scroll handle with thumb rest, painted with vignettes depicting on one side a rustic couple with the man holding a goose, the reverse with two birds in a landscape, probably German, 18th century, 9cm high [damages].
A George V silver teapot, maker Manoah Rhodes& Sons Ltd, London, 1918: inscribed, of squat globular form with domed hinged lid, on a spreading circular foot, 17cm high, together with a near matching hot water jug, maker Manoah Rhodes & Sons Ltd, London, 1918, initialled, 21cm high, total weight of silver, 1168gms, 37.55ozs.
A Chinese Yixing teapot and bitong: the former of buff colour and of tapering lobed form with pierced dome cover, the body incised with texts, seal mark to base, the bitong of reddish brown tone incised with a Magpie amongst foliage and verso with texts, both with impressed seal marks, 11.5 and 13cm high.
