A 20th Century 1930's/40's novelty teapot by Bancroft & Bennett Staffordshire. The handle in the form of Dick Whittington Lord Mayor of London and his cat forms the finial of the lid. To the teapot itself reads To London 2 miles and to the lid "turn again Whittington Lord Mayor of London". Marks to Base. Measures 19cm high.
