Chinese porcelain tea wares, Qianlong period, including teapot, canister, cream jug, spoon tray, cup and three saucers, each piece decorated en grisaille with matching scenes of Cupid and VenusCondition report: The cream jug with part of handle missing, chip to footrim, tiny chip to spout. One saucer has a star-shaped hairline on the base, another small hairline on the rim. Cup has a reglued rim chip, other rim chips, one with two hairlines attached. One saucer has a large chip with small hairline attached, and some other rim nibbles. Tea canister has a chip to the cover and a couple of nibbles on the rim. Spoon tray has a few nibbles on the rim. The remaining saucer and the teapot in good condition (small natural firing crack to rim of teapot).

Evidence of repair to body at right of top handle mount, bottom of spout and cover. Dents removed from body in places. One foot resoldered. Handle repinned. Engraving may have removed from cartouches. Marks are clear.

Fine quality George III silver teapot of compressed baluster form, with half fluted and shell decoration, flared rim and hinged domed and fluted cover, ivory handle (broken but present) with face mask mount, on a squat pedestal base (London 1781). All at approximately 28ozs. 27cm across.Condition report: General overall condition of body good, surface tarnished with some minor denting and scratching, base slightly distorted and tip of spout is damaged. Cover finial possibly original but supporting collar a poor replacement, hinge is slightly bent and cover does not close fully. Ivory handle is cracked and detached, but present. Marks are clear.

Tea pot appears to be water tight.
